Rules
Please read through these few rules and follow them to make this contest fair and enjoyable for all participants.
- The contest does not have a restriction on how you wanna structure your movie, which frags you wish to use from the submitted demos etc., but the maximum length of the movie can only be 4 minutes. This means you need to choose carefully which frags/demos you wish to use, and it probably isn't wise to spend 1-2 minutes of your movie on an intro/credits. As everyone can use the same frags, it will be originality and your creativity which will make your movie stand above others. Doesn't mean that you should only use the bad frags which others probably won't end up using, but instead focus on the editing in detail.
- There aren't any rules regarding what kind of settings you should use while recording or what format you should publish your movie, but we'd highly recommend using the pldx movie config and making the movie 720p (1280x720 px).
- All entries to the contest should mention in one way or another (feel free to use your imagination) that it is an entry to the PldX.com Team Fortress 2 movie contest.
- You may only use frags from demos submitted for the contest. If you have frags that aren't in the contest demo library and wish to use them, please submit them there for others to use as well.
- Any submissions posted to PldX after the movie submission deadline will not be eligible for the contest. You can submit your movie prior to the deadline if you wish, and we will make it available for users to view. Keep in mind if many movie makers use the same frags, they will appear more appealing for the first few movies to feature them.
- All entrants must create a project for their movie.
Please show respect to all participants, both demo submitters and movie makers.
